Picture This

Picture this –

The underhanded mastery of the universe,
Treachery for some,
A necessity for most.

Curled up in a sandbox,
Trying to exhume our identities.

Redemption to the far south,
And bad faith within reach.

Pictures laid out on the ground,
Each a breath of relief.
Some relics of a life bygone,
Some a welcome distraction from misery.

Are they who I am,
Or what I once used to be?

Picture this –

A shy whisper winds through,
‘You’re every one of those people.’
They’re all means to your destiny.

They’re just, in memory,
